The Vision, Beliefs and Values of St. Peter’s CE Primary Academy, Hednesford
Our vision as a church school encapsulates the solid foundation that God gives us in our lives: “Upon this rock I will build my church” and the aspirational sentiment of making the most of our God-given opportunities in his creation: “Let your light shine before others.”
Our academy motto is:
‘Reach for the Sky’
“Let your light shine before others.”
Matthew 5: 16
Jesus turned to him: “Now I say to you that you are Peter, which means ‘rock’, and upon this rock I will build my church.”
Matthew 16: 18
Our school vision is built upon three core Christian beliefs:
Creation Incarnation Salvation
and as part of these beliefs, we encourage members of our school community to live out our Christian values of:
Thankfulness Humility Forgiveness
Trust Endurance Friendship
These Christian beliefs and values are at the heart of our academy, our life as a community and our approach to teaching and learning.
In our approach to school and in our wider daily lives, we invite members of our school community to seek to follow the example that Jesus set. Learning can be difficult, life can be uncertain and growing up in modern society presents an often-confusing picture of what decisions we, as individuals, should make. This is why, along with the aspirational sentiment of Reach for the Sky, we invite all members of the school community to build upon the foundations we are given. By placing our trust and faith in God, we can commit ourselves and our actions to him to strengthen us and to make our world a better place.
